building a 1987 4-runner, dabbs, and i refurbished the engine, rod bearing, main bearings, rings, head gasket, timing chain set, timing chain cover, big thanks to dabbs for the head work and everthing else, new valve seats. my plans are 3in body, 5.29, welded rear, locker in the front, 35" tires, tube bumpers front and rear, and rock sliders. winch in the front bumper well heres what i started with. i gave $1100.00 for it, and it had a warn stand 8000 on the front. the motor parts cost $180.00, had the tires and wheels. sold the warn for $250.00. so i have about $1030.00 in it right now. now i need a locker for the front and a the tube bumper and sliders, and a winch. anyone want to give anyparts pm me hahaha.

"sold the warn for $250.00" You should have kelp that. you have some kinda problem with having a winch? I sure dont like depending on someone to pull my Ass around all the time. In my opinion a winch is what you build your rig around. If you off road you need a winch.

it was a warn stand up 8000,i know there an awsome winch, but it would be to big on the front of the 4-runner. so going to buy a lay down 8000

Glad you plan on buying one, be the best money you spend on a off road rig.

If you sold a working 8274 for 250, you give it away.

thats what it was, but it could use new wires, and solenoid. i figure that was a good price for what it was. but i'm looking into getting a m8000, or a smitty built 8000

You did give the winch away for 250. I didnt know you sold it that cheap. And no it wasnt too big for your rig. If you ever used an 8274 when you really needed it, you wouldnt want any other winch. If I could afford one Id have one on mine. The M8000 I have is slow as sh!t.
